jDome, designed by John Nilsson brings gaming to a whole new level. jDome lets gamers see more of the virtual environment making gaming more realistic. Here we have photos of Crysis a first person shooter and as you can see the field of view is much wider on the jDome than on a regular monitor. Who says guns shouldn’t be pink with a big label Gucci or Chanel on it. These were designed by Peter Gronquist who resides in Oakland California. I personally like designer chainsaws. If you are going to be cutting down trees, why not do it in style? I can picture the lumberjack now, all in pink with a chainsaw from Gucci

Absent Nature

Absent Nature is the exhibition of designer Arik Levy at Wright20, New York, Chicago. The exhibition included Fractal clouds and Log series. The fractals clouds are made of thousands of light tubes one of my favorite materials. The tubes were made into one light-emitting textile. And the Log series are made of blackened wood, mirror-polished stainless steel and stainless steel mesh giving a sense of weight and raw power derived from forms of nature. Look creepy don’t they? Well it must be all the bones that make them so scary looking but they are not all bone, parts of them are metal and fur (real or not I can’t say) I Like the modification the author has made to the bird, the second head looks great. I think these would look wonderful on the fireplace or in the guest room.

The author of these sculptures is Christopher Conte. He was born in Norway and at the age of 6 he moved to New York. Christopher studied anatomy at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. He combined his love for sculptures , medical science and biomechanics to create wonderful sculptures. His works were featured in Wired, Popular Science, Make Magazines and used by the Discovery Channel and MTV networks.

18-year-old Ben Gulak is the inventor of Uno. It took him several years but the result is stunning. Uno has 2 wheels positions next to each other making it look like a unicycle. It works like a Segway, tilt forward to go forward and back to slow down or stop. Ben says he was inspired when he had visited China and saw the pollution. Uno weighs 120 lbs, has a top speed of 25 mph and a range of about 2.5 hours. Ben is currently looking for investors to put the Uno into production.

Nareepol Fake or Not?

You have probably seen this tree before. It is all over the internet now and the first wave of posts claim it to be real. According to the popular information the tree is located in Thailand located in Petchaboon province 300 miles from Bangkok. The second wave of posts about this tree says it’s fake. I would like to add my opinion to the debate.
Of course the fruit can’t grow in the form of naked women. But there is a way to make fruit into almost any form you want using plastic cases. Here is an example of square watermelons from Japan. They place a growing watermelon into a plastic case and when it has no room to grow it takes all the shape around itself.
You can make forms for many fruit and vegetables just use your imagination.

Kurt Wenner’s Street Paintings

Kurt Wenner began street painting in Rome in 1982 and by 1984 he was already one of the few recognized street painters. He devised a unique geometry that allowed him to make flat images seem 3d.
