World’s most expensive vodka
April 16th, 2007 FunForever
This is not a perfume, this is gem filtered vodka - Blackwood Distillers from Scotland have come up with the idea to produce world’s most expensive drink.

New luxury vodka is called Diva vodka. It first gets ice-filtered, then filtered through Nordic birch charcoal and then passed trhough a sand of crushed diamonds and gems (We can almost see someone crush and crumble the gems vigorously).
What is especially fascinating, is the price. In every bottle you’ll find semi-precious or precious stones, including diamonds, which will make the product price range from $ 70.00 up to $ 1,060,000.00 . Cheers!

I find it funny that the article says there are real gemstones inside the bottles, yet the actual website and advertisement state that the stone are actually Swarovski Crystal colored to resemble stones, with the exception of the Black Gold Vodka, which has two ‘gold nuggets’ in it.
Also, after checking the site, the most expensive bottle is about $179 dollars.

Just a cheap trick to make something more expensive. The more you pay, the better it is? I think not!
Even with wine, anything over $30 is a waste of money. Nowadays, through technology anyone can buy a great bottle of wine for around $10, sometimes less.
Polish vodka? Yes, yes, yes !!
Diamonds, gems and bullshit for a high price? Never !!

It seems silly to me to pay so much for alcohol. Especially when it seems a lot of the price goes towards the gems–which, as someone has already pointed out, are in fact not real gemstones, but Swarovski crystals. Pretty, but not worth nearly as much. It seems a lot of money to pay for something that looks incredibly nice–funny how the ads nor this blog entry mention anything about the taste, which is what should really matter.

What? No amethyst gems??
Never mind.
(Besides, would you trust your liquor to the people who dreamed up Haggis???)
