The Bone Project

July 16th, 2008 FunForever

This collection of products made of waste cow bones by Andrew Ross was exhibited at New Designers in London. It started as a research of agricultural by-products with the idea so farmers could not only produce food but also products. Before the process was outlawed the bones were ground up to make animal feed now tons of bones are thrown away each day. The collection features bone jewelry, casing for used batteries and electronics. According to Ross bone neutralizes certain toxic chemicals which will allow stuff to be thrown out without the risk of environmental pollution.
