Fossil

February 25th, 2008 FunForever

Fossil is a mechanical dragonfly powered by solar energy made by James Watt. The length of the insect is 28 cm (less than 1 foot) and the wing span is 33 cm (1 foot). It’s called the Fossil because the creator of the dragonfly was thinking about a huge prehistoric dragonfly - Meganuera which had the wing span of 2 feet. I might disappoint you by saying this but the dragonfly doesn’t fly. But it does move its wings and twitch the mouth in the sunshine.
