Scarab

This is probably the future of cars called the scarab designed by David Miguel Moreira Gonçalves. Compact, fast, stable, eco-friendly and shiny. Full of different gadgets and accessories which will make you head spin… or won’t.
Here’s the list of specs.

-The vehicle is composed of interchangeable modules that can be customized.
-Powerpack module composed of a permanent battery plus 3 options for the main energy pack (battery, biofuel ICE or a fuel cell).
-4 wheel drive through electric brushless in-wheel motors with directdrive.
-Wheels with regenerative braking through EW Brakes.
-Drive by wire and tactile HUD embedded in the Lexan canopy.
-Structural elements in Carbon-Aramid composite.
-Embedded sensors, Lidar, radar, transponders, GPS. These serve to exchange information with the system, with other drivers and to have precise location data.
-Renting of the vehicle or modules that allows for a private/public/mixed utilization and transport access for people with less financial resources.
-Doesn’t need new infrastructures.
-Is backward compatible with current transport systems and uses current day technologies.

Of course there’s one problem, the Scarab can only transport 1 person.

Blue River in your kitchen

This is an amazing way to refresh you kitchen table. To make this you’ll need some blue glass(you may use any other color), transparent plastic, an optical cable and good hands. As you can see here the author made it look like there’s a river flowing across the stall.

Sadly the site that provided these photos had no info on the author. If you know who the author is or his/her site please leave a comment.

Paper Rings

Using paper to make elegant rings is what I call creative. Tithi Kutchamuch and Nutre Arayavanish of TT:NT have designed a range of fold-out paper jewelery. The rings come laser cut on a sheet of paper and the user assembles them when needed much like origami. It’s just paper but I’m sure such rings will draw much attention.

Snowball Launcher

Just came across this kid’s toy that shoots snowballs. It seems like most of the work that needed to be done to actually throw a snowball is done for you. Back in the days when you only had gloves you had to pick up some snow, form a ball and the throw it. Those who wanted more accuracy(me included) took their gloves off so the hands would melt the snow a little and the snowball would become more dense thus better accurate and throwing distance. But enough about history this gun fires softball sized snowballs up to 50 feet. Just put the snow in the gun’s forming chamber close the lid and you’ve got yourself 3 snowballs. Then place the snowball in the muzzle and shoot. The blaster is powered by elastomers so it lasts as long as you do. Here’s the link to the Shop

Fire Extinguisher Speakers

A modder from a Russian forum Topmods.net made 2 cool speakers from 2 fire extinguishers. It took much effort to turn 2 rusty metal cylinders into a modern speakers. Here are photos of the process.

Cutlery Chair

Some restaurants change their cutlery as often as every 9 months. So, that can creative people do with all that unwanted cutlery? Make furniture of course. This chair doesn’t look very comfortable though and if you ever find yourself sitting in one don’t move around too much if you want to keep all of your “seat”. :)

Slim Bug Zapper

It’s effective, it’s merciless and now it’s slim. Designed by Pepe Garcia and Martin Žampach this electronic bug zapper goes well with almost any environment. Plus, it’s easy to use, simply install it somewhere in the room and change the fly paper from time to time however if yo can’t take the sight on hundreds of dead creepy-crawlies then let some else do it.
