An amazing video, that shows women faces from different paintings. In this video you can see how the beauty standards changed through the years, look at the headgear, hair styles and hair color. However I saw little change in the faces themselves.

Buy nothing on November 24 and 25

Every year all over the world people celebrate the Buy Nothing Day. In case you don’t have a clue of what this is - this is a free-shopping day every November.

The idea is that the consuming has grown so much in the past few years that there must be a way to stop it - so a tribute to non-shopping was created, which became the Buy Nothing Day.

Here are some videos and remember not to buy anything on November 24&25, even if you run out of toilet paper!

Boss has left the building!

What time do you finish work? 5 pm? 6 pm? Whatever you do just don’t listen to this video before the time! And then turn it on and shout, relieved: ‘Boss has left!’ Or in French : ‘Le patron est devenue fou.’ Or in other words a track by Etienne Crecy from his compilation CD ‘Super Discount’.

The track might be old but it hasn’t lost its topicality. Advised on Fridays.

Heard a song, would like to find out what a video like?

Easy.

The first and the best option is www.youtube.com. A large library of videos from all over the world that could be found by friendly-interfaced search system. The web-site also contains Favourites, My Playlist, My Videos and My Profile for registered users.

If you are not sure of what video you would like to watch, you can check out recently viewed videos and pick one for yourself. In case you want to share your own collection of videos - just upload them.

Another nice video web-site is videos.antville.org. Nice and orange video library that contains rare and alternative videos. The web-site reminds more of nowadays so popular blogs, only video-oriented. Watch, upload, comment - it’s all yours.

And last but not the least is www.academyfilms.com. This web-site is devided to three main sections - commercials, music videos and feature films.

The first section has interesting and rare commercials by popular video directors, commercials for Levis, Twix, Honda, Fiat, Budweiser and many more.

The third one contains some feature films, not too much of them and the second one has videos - and quite lots of them, all by very special video directors like Jonathan Glazer, Nick Gordon, Martin de Thurah and others featuring artists like Groove Armada, Royksopp, Massive Attack, Richard Ashcroft, etc.
