Bronze Poly Chair

January 22nd, 2008 FunForever

Max Lamb creator of many unique chair designs have made another one- the bronze poly chair. The chair is carved from a solid block of low density expanded polystyrene (98% air). Then “lost foam” process is used. The foam chair is buried into the sand then molten bronze is poured through the sprue into the sand, consuming the foam. After two hours you have solid bronze replica of the foam chair. Each chair is different because this process destroys the foam chair. There is however the issue of how comfortable you behind would feel when sitting on it, but I guess this is something people have to find out for themselves…
