These mysterious oil-on-wood paintings of seductive and vulnerable girls captivate with the direct stare of their bedroom eyes, graceful curves and haunting doll faces..

Her works are both innocent and erotic. Audrey’s precise technical style is at once influenced by both manga comics and Art Nouveau.

I already love them!! They are really mesmerizing me..
Such gorgeous work!! I love all of her paintings.
This was such a great post it made my “top 5″ today.
Incidentally and coincidentally, I had the exact same post on 26 June 2007 here: http://patlaw.wordpress.com/2007/06/26/audrey-kawasaki/.
How coincidental.
Her work is amazing, there is a nice interview here:

Everyone mesmerized? Well, count me out. This is kitsch of the most blatant kind.
I live in NY so no piece makes me woaww. However the lines and the touch on the faces are very gentile.I captured some look from the girls illustrated.
Beautiful. It’s really difficult to paint so softly with oils on wood! Steve clearly has no idea what he’s talking about.
