Technically speaking, the sink should be at least four feet from the toilet to avoid spray contamination when the toilet is flushed with the lid up (come on guys, who ever puts the lid down when they've been for a tinkle?!), or even from errant spray while tinkling, but I know that in reality most people's bathrooms are too small to have that much space between them. Unless of course it is a self-closing toilet lid, so that when one pushes the flush lever or button it closes the lid first. Clever, isn't it? I want a voice-activated lid, responding to the phrases "up" to raise the lid and "flush" so that I don't have to touch anything!
