AirPOD

While some car companies are busy making and perfecting their electric and hybrid cars, MDI has made a car that runs on compressed air. The car will seat 3 people, have a range of 220 km (130miles) and a 70 kph (45 mph) speed limit. For those who don’t have a driving license the car’s speed will be limited to 45kph (30 mph). The air supply or in this case fuel can be refilled in a few minutes with an air compressor available at every gas station.
MDI declares AirPOD will be the first car to be series-produced, by the end of the first quarter of 2009 and the price is said to be very low for a car this size.
