Cityscope

Cityscope, an installation in Germany, is a very peculiar and interesting piece of art. It reflects fragmented views on the city and composes at the same time a three-dimensional image of the surrounding facades. The beholder becomes a part of the reflections as he moves around it. During the day the triangles covered with radiant foil reflect the surrounding cityscape in different colors (the color depends on the position of the beholder) At night the installation becomes transparent as it is lit from within. Cityscope lets people observe their surroundings in a different way. This is a pretty cool and very amusing installation.

Pet Furniture

Pets play an important roles is our lives that’s why we have so much pet toys and pet foods available. We humans have a strange desire to make homes or places for our pets that look like real houses because we think it’s cute. You know, people have a big house and their dog outside has the same house only smaller. We also have invented furniture for cats so they could climb to a higher place and knock something off from a shelf. I’ve noticed that those items which cats usually knock off tend to be very fragile and break as soon as they hit the floor.

Scotsman’s Trufill

This is a very important invention that will make everybody happier. The Scotsmans Trufill can fill you glass with cold beer in seconds so you won’t miss any moments from the football match you’re watching. It doesn’t matter whether Trufill uses magic or a valve at the bottom of the glass to fill it up, the important thing is you’ll save time on beer refills.

Scarab

This is probably the future of cars called the scarab designed by David Miguel Moreira Gonçalves. Compact, fast, stable, eco-friendly and shiny. Full of different gadgets and accessories which will make you head spin… or won’t.
Here’s the list of specs.

-The vehicle is composed of interchangeable modules that can be customized.
-Powerpack module composed of a permanent battery plus 3 options for the main energy pack (battery, biofuel ICE or a fuel cell).
-4 wheel drive through electric brushless in-wheel motors with directdrive.
-Wheels with regenerative braking through EW Brakes.
-Drive by wire and tactile HUD embedded in the Lexan canopy.
-Structural elements in Carbon-Aramid composite.
-Embedded sensors, Lidar, radar, transponders, GPS. These serve to exchange information with the system, with other drivers and to have precise location data.
-Renting of the vehicle or modules that allows for a private/public/mixed utilization and transport access for people with less financial resources.
-Doesn’t need new infrastructures.
-Is backward compatible with current transport systems and uses current day technologies.

Of course there’s one problem, the Scarab can only transport 1 person.

Paper Rings

Using paper to make elegant rings is what I call creative. Tithi Kutchamuch and Nutre Arayavanish of TT:NT have designed a range of fold-out paper jewelery. The rings come laser cut on a sheet of paper and the user assembles them when needed much like origami. It’s just paper but I’m sure such rings will draw much attention.
