Real Wall-e

The animated movie Wall-E is a hit of the summer. Here are 2 videos of featuring real life Wall-E. Just look into those sad eyes, I mean sensors. Don’t you just want to hug him? As for the movie I’ve not heard of or know any people who were disappointed.

This video was shot by Molly in LA

This one was from the Loews Hotel in Philadelphia by Your Morning.

Best Fan-made Iron Man Suit

This has got to be the best fan-made Iron Man suit. The parts are made of glass fiber painted in rich red and gold colors. The necktie and midsection are made of flexible plastic and the gloves are made of foam rubber. The helmet comes with reflective lenses so no one can see the wearer’s eyes. Ideally you have to be 6.2 tall, 35 inch waistline, approx. 220 lbs to feed inside the suit.

Spyder Roadster

The spyder is not a bike, a trike nor is it a three-wheeled car it’s something totally new. Well, actually the closest thing I can thing off that resembles the spyder is a snowmobile, just instead of a track and 2 skis the spyder had wheels. Powered by a 990cc V twin Rotax engine the spyder gets 35 miles per gallon and does 0-60 in 4,5 seconds.
The spyder has ABS and traction and stability control. You can’t lane-split on it like on a regular bike but the spyder is much easier to park on account of it’s reverse gear and you don’t need a kickstand.

Kielder Observatory

This pier like building is an observatory built by Charles Barclay Architects in Northumberland, UK. The observatory houses two permanent telescopes in 36o degrees rotating turrets and observation deck for private telescopes. The observatory also generates it’s own power with a wind turbine, photo voltaic panels and composting toilet. It’s perfect place to watch the night sky because of Kielder’s lack of light pollution.

MoonBaseTwo

We’ve seen many movies where the people from Earth have bases on other planets and moons and it’s about time to turn the science fiction into reality. Designed by Architects and Vision, MoonBaseTwo is a semi-permanent moon base which allows up to 4 astronauts to live there for 6 months. MoonBaseTwo is designed to be transported by the Ares V rocket. The base automatically deploys after landing and ready to accommodate astronauts.

WASP Injector Knife

This knife is called the WASP injector knife and it’s especially useful for hunters and divers. When a bear or a an angry boar get too close you will have to rely on knife to save your life. It’s not likely to happen no matter how good you are with a knife because such animals may still kill you even with the blade sticking out of them. The WASP delivers a massive burst of freezing, compressed air into the stab wound that is capable of stopping even the largest land and sea predators.

Flee digital camera

Flee is a tossable digital camera that allows you to take pictures from the air. The flee is linked with your cell phone via bluetooth. When thrown the camera starts taking pictures with the set interval and these photos are sent to you cell phone using the bluetooth signal. I’m not sure how many tosses would this flee survive but , however I find this idea very interesting. With the flee you can take very cool, unusual pictures.

The Bone Project

This collection of products made of waste cow bones by Andrew Ross was exhibited at New Designers in London. It started as a research of agricultural by-products with the idea so farmers could not only produce food but also products. Before the process was outlawed the bones were ground up to make animal feed now tons of bones are thrown away each day. The collection features bone jewelry, casing for used batteries and electronics. According to Ross bone neutralizes certain toxic chemicals which will allow stuff to be thrown out without the risk of environmental pollution.
