Red Bull Art of Can Exhibition

An exhibition of fan-made sculptures made from empty red bull cans in London. People of all ages made their masterpieces with the aluminum remainders. Here we have planes, animals, bugs, toasters and even shoes. It’s amazing what people can do with something as simple as an aluminum can.

Graffiti Portraits

I came across these very interesting graffiti portraits on the web. It wasn’t said where they are or who made them however I think they are somewhere in Europe not in the UK although the sign is in English. If you have information regarding these portraits please write and comment or send me an e-mail.

Blue Flash

John Ivers was tired of waiting in lines for hours to ride the roller coaster so he built his own coaster in his backyard. He even installed a 360 loop oh his selfmade coaster. It took his 1.5 years to build but the result is fun and most importantly without lines. Video after the jump.

Solar Harvesting Curtains

Sheila Kennedy is an expert in solar cell technology in architecture. She has designed a Soft house with solar harvesting curtains which can create close to 16,000 watt-hours of electricity. The curtains are semi-transparent so it’s not the same thing as having solar panels for windows. The flaw of the project is the cost which makes it rather expensive and not likely to be mass produced.
