Giant Keyboard Rug

If there are giant joysticks then why not a giant keyboard? That is exactly what Maurin Donneaud did. To type the next in you need to walk on the rug you can use your arms of course but that would be much harder. This giant keyboard is perfect for games that develop your typing skills.

The Loveseat

This cool and unique-looking bench was designed by Jake Phipps. It’s called the Loveseat. The bench is made from a solid cedar trunk and it has been put into production. I cannot say that the choice to use tree trunks is the best choice because much of the material isn’t used. The form is interesting but is it worth it?

Exclusive 3G iPhone Pictures

Hello Apple fans, this one is for you. As you know the new 3G iPhone is coming out this June and many of you are eager to see it. There has been some fake 3G iPhone pictures on the web and I’m not saying that these are 100% real but they look convincing. The 3Gi Phone looks the same as the regular iPhone but with a white panel. One of the features in the 3G will be fast wireless 3G networking which will make surfing the web much faster and easier. The only thing we can do now is wait for the official release date.

Chinese reinforced doors, or are they?

Such reinforced doors are usually installed in offices, flats or houses mainly in Eastern Europe. Here are some interesting features of Chinese reinforced doors.

The whole point of a reinforced door is that it’s supposed to be very hard to break and open without the keys. As you can see here a simple can opener can easily cut through the door.

The steel is 0.8mm thick but you can still cut it with a can opener. That’s because this steel is very soft.

The door is supposed to be filled with environment-friendly isolating materials instead there’s cardboard honeycomb.

You’d be much better off with a regular wooden door.

Amazing Chinese Garden

Truly a fascinating place in China. Sadly the source doesn’t say where exactly is this garden. Nevertheless it is very beautiful and the sculptures are very creative like the giant tea pot that is pouring steaming hot tea into a cup or the waterfall from a palm of a hand. It would be interesting to try and make one of these but I wouldn’t know where to start.

Banksy Graffiti

Here we go, another set of “vandalisms” from Banksy. This time black stencils and a very colorful elephant in the end. Most of you have seen Banksy’s works and already know what to expect. If you haven’t I’m sure you’ll like them. Enjoy the collection.

Robot Models

If you want to buy a sci-fi model of say Alien or Predator there’s a group of people who specialize in making them. They make big and small models with the price ranging from $7 to $3,500. The group makes the sculptures using used cars and bikes parts. Here are some of the models they have on sale.

Stardust

Stardust is the collection of revolutionary furniture designed by Mario Bellini. The furniture is made using “ravioli made of air”, like the stuff they put in packages and a metallic netting made of thin inox wire with LEDs inside. The furniture not only emits light but also can be used in the in water because it floats and it’s so light you can lift it with only one hand. But that’s not all. in the future designers are going to put iridescent powders in the ravioli’s air which are able to produce their own light.

Flight of the Fusion Man

Yves Rossy made a successful flight using his self-made jet wings on Wednesday. Now he is preparing for the flight across the English channel and it’s going to be shown live. The jets on the wings allow him to reach speeds of up to 300 km/h or about 180 mph. The steering is done by using the whole body. He landed using a parachute. I’m sure that after this flight we are going to see many more Fusion Men with jet powered wings.
