InkFetish Graffiti

The author of these graffiti images is Tom Blackford. Tom is a freelance illustrator who lives and works in London. As I said before I don’t think graffiti is vandalism and I like this form of expression. Be sure to visit Tom’s website for more images the link is below as usual.

Bottle House

I love it when people come up with crazy ideas and then put them to life. Like building a house from bottles. It’s not the first nor the only bottle house but there aren’t many of them to go around so each is a work of art. The first bottle house was built in 1902 out of beer bottles. It was still pretty sturdy in 1980’s when it was demolished. If it stood for 80 years and was in good shape then bottles make a pretty good building material.

Kit-In Box

The one who thought of this is a genius. I have a cat and sometimes when I’m using the PC at home he comes and lies either in front of the keyboard or on it. This doesn’t irritate me much and I also don’t want to shoo him away but you can’t do anything when he is on the keyboard. The box attaches to the table or it can be placed on it either way the you have a place to put your cat. The Kit-In Box costs $49.99 the link is below.

Laptop Kamasutra

Many of us have laptops but sometimes using a laptop can cause discomfort. Here is a list of position you might want to try to have a more comfortable time with your laptop.

Position 1- classical or missionary.
It practically erases the difference between a laptop and a desktop. This is the position in which most of laptop users sit daily. This is a normal position and you shouldn’t be ashamed of it. Portability is an important feature of laptops, and it is made for your comfort.

Position 2 - web surf.
A little modification of missionary/classical position that leads to a great increase in comfort.

Position 3 - I’m a boss.
This position is especially popular in countries where putting legs on the table is normal.

Position 4 - at the airport.
This position is ideal for places where the power plugs are purposely placed by stupid designers far from all seats.

Position 5 - in a line.
Ideal for a short-term wait and it allows you to concentrate on your comfort and not worry about power plug locations.

Position 6 - at home.
This is the second popular position after the missionary position. Some people consider it the most natural.

Position 7 - romantic night.
Don’t use this position to chat with friends because it easy to fall asleep. You can fall asleep and keep typing scaring the hell out of everyone.

Position 8 - weekend.
Very comfortable on a firm sofa.

Position 9- lazy morning.
Can be used on a bed or on the floor. Very comfortable position especially for reading large pieces of text.

Position 10 - on a picnic.
Perfect when there’s nothing to sit on although you will need something to put th elaptop on, like a stump or rock.

Position 11 - oriental.
This position appeared before the laptop. Despite looking very uncomfortable many people use this position with great joy.

All the listed position are really simple and you can experiment with them to find which one suits you the best. The list can be expanded with the help of your personal experience. Don’t be ashamed to try all positions.

Soap Art

When I first saw these pictures I couldn’t believe it was soap. I don’t know who the author is but it sure took him a while to carve this things from soap. The details are amazing. These bars of soap hopefully will never to used because it would ruin them. Enjoy the soapy art

Light Graffiti

We’ve already had a post about light graffiti and here is a fresh batch made by Paulo Antunes. The technique is simple - set a slow shutter speed, wait till it gets dark, take a flash light or any other light source and you are good to go. When making figures you don’t need to repeat the pattern, one stoke to make the line is enough.

Strange Monuments

It’s difficult to say what the creator wants to say with these monuments. Some are a real mystery for example a giant fork or maybe a finger sticking out of the ground or a man with his head in the wall. And I definitely don’t understand the one with a guy with a spear on a horse. Anyway I still like them, so what if I don’t get them they are still pretty fun.

Paper Tea House

Yes, it’s a house made entirely from paper and cardboard and it was designed by the famous architect Shigeru Ban. As you can see it’s constructed mainly from square paper tubes. The structure is 15 feet long and even though it’s a paper house it looks pretty sturdy. Tomorrow (April 3rd) the house will be auctioned in London. The pre-sale price of the paper tea house is about $40,000 - $60,000

Finger Shadow Illusions

I, myself know how to make a bird, a dog and a deformed rabbit but I never thought you an actually make some many different shapes of animals with your fingers. You can even do an elephant with your fingers. Now when I looks how’s it’s done it doesn’t seem so difficult but I doubt I can do these even after seeing them.
