Scissors Spider

Here’s what you can do if you have some spare scissors. Break them apart then use a torch to heat the parts and bend them. Then all you need to do is weld them together and you got yourself a scissor spider. A cheap and easy way to make a cool sculpture.

Cardboard Art

Chris Gilmour chose a simple material for his work – packaging cardboard. He made amazing things out of it without using anything else but glue. He didn’t use metal or wooden frames. It is amazing how he made life-size models of cars, bikes, a typewriter and a wheelchair out of plain cardboard.

Uncle Scrooge’s Money Bin

Do you remember an old cartoon “Duck Tales”and a character Uncle Scrooge? Well, here is a model of Uncle Scrooge’s money bin. Don Rosa and Dan Shane designed it. Their designs inspired a fan, Matt Gullikstad to created a scale model of the bin. The details are amazing, it has 250 chairs and 250 desks, the windows are made of glass, the door to the vault has a turning wheel and all the “coins” are individually cut. I don’t know how long it too Matt to make the model, all i know he did an outstanding job.

Graffiti Covered Building in New York

This graffiti covered building is located in New York along the route of train 7 which goes from Flushing to Times Square. The artists did a great job on this building, it looks amazing. The sign on the door says you can only paint on this building if you get a permit so I’m guessing this was a project by graffiti artist to paint the whole building or something like that.

Lego Pathfinder

The Lego Pathfinder is the most complex Lego structures today. The Pathfinder ship has 17 crew members it is also equipped with laser guns, escape pods it has docking stations, satellites and interstellar probes. Sadly, no information is given on how many lego pieces it took to make this ship. Regardless of the quantity of pieces this is truly a masterpiece.

Toyota i-Real Concept

Toyota has presented their new battery-powered, three-wheel single seater i-Real. With the rear wheel moved closer then the vehicle stands up straighter, when moved further away it stabilizes the chair at high speeds. They are planning to commercialize it in near future and this is good news, many would benefit from this personal vehicle, especially whose with limited movement capabilities.

La Terraza del Casino the Madrid restaurant has just reopened. The new interior was done by the Spanish designer Jaime Hayon. He did an amazing job remodeling it. I love the colors he chose for the interior and how he used the contrast of black and white. Check out the photos of the La Terraza del Casino.

The ScooterDesk is a wheeled standing-aid with an included writing tablet. the main purpose of the scooterdesk is short tasks like checking e-mails, filling out a form or browsing the web. When using the scooterdesk your back is in optimal position, and when you move around on it, you also stimulate your muscles. You can do you job and work out at the same time which is very healthy, especially if you work in an office.

If you don’t want to get finger prints and smudges on your touch screen that these are for you. Originally these are made for iPhones, but they will work for any touch screen gadgets. You can buy a pack of 25 fingers for 9.90 euro. I’m still not sure whether people would buy these or use them, but they are available.

The Landmark

The Landmark by Jean Nouvel. The Landmark features a 42-storey tower with a hotel and apartments, a horizontal commercial and leisure block with a raised pedestrian street. The building is to be constructed in central Beirut, Lebanon.
