Audi Q5 Concept Car

The Q5 is said to compete with with the BMW X3, Land Rover Freelander and the upcoming Volvo XC50 and Mercedes GLK.

The Q5 will be built in Ingolstadt. The car will be based on the Roadjet concept. Production is expected in 2008. Audi Q5 will cost around $35 000

Take it easy with Meric Kara

We have already mentioned great artist Meric Kara. She was born in Turkey and studied Industrial Design. Then she went to Milan, where started to work for Fabrica design department. She has designed store presentations for New Years at Benetton and Sisley stores in Turkey, as well as designing product lines for various companies.

Here’s a brief insight to Meric Kara’s products – to give you understanding of what her projects are like.

She has cool 3D wedding invitations -. there are people who you don’t really want to invite or can’t invite to your wedding because of your past. These invitations are to say something other than nicely inviting someone.

She has 500 rolling stones, which were printed to be left on the streets of Milan.

She has cool “this much” jewelry.

Stepping on such beauty does not feel right

World’s most expensive vodka

This is not a perfume, this is gem filtered vodka - Blackwood Distillers from Scotland have come up with the idea to produce world’s most expensive drink.

New luxury vodka is called Diva vodka. It first gets ice-filtered, then filtered through Nordic birch charcoal and then passed trhough a sand of crushed diamonds and gems (We can almost see someone crush and crumble the gems vigorously).

What is especially fascinating, is the price. In every bottle you’ll find semi-precious or precious stones, including diamonds, which will make the product price range from $ 70.00 up to $ 1,060,000.00 . Cheers!

Don’t try this at home!

You think that books are just for reading? It turns out that many people think different.

Georgia Russell is from Scotland. She uses scalpel instead of a brush or a pen. Her creations look like some fairy-tale creatures. Absolutely unique artist!

Abelardo Morell is many times awarded Cuban artist. Being a professor of photography, Morell is famous for his Alice in Wonderland series. Morell also has a passion for books.

Another book loving artist is Cara Borer. As she herself states, “My photographs are primarily a documentation of a physical evolution. I have changed a common object into sculpture in a state of flux.”

Robert The makes freaky book installations and sculptures. Don’t try this at home!

Book of lights is both a book and a lamp. It was created by Takeshi Ishiguro for Arctecnica. The lamp can be powered by a simple low voltage adapter.

Olafur Eliasson made a hand bound book with 454 laser cut leaves. Read the book and imagine your dream house.

Thursday’s fashion art

Patric Shaw was born in Germany and grew up in Australia, where he was working as a fashion illustrator for Vogue Australia. Later on, the artist moved to New York, where he lives now. His advertising clients include Jones NY, Aveda, Bergdorf Goodman, Genny, Loewe, L’Oreal, Oil of Olay, Revlon, Nautica, Valentino and Synergie Garnier. His works are very precise.

Satoshi Saikusa is shooting stars – Diane Kruger, Eva Green, Jean Reno, Vanessa Paradis, Takeshi Kaneshiro and others. Satoshi Saikusa’s style is so decadent, smart and exquisite – pure pleasure to look at.

Gyslain Yahri is mostly famous for the girl and a big transparent ball on a Bridge. But that is not all, what Yahri can produce – milky, sensitive, arousing pictures too.

David Sims is a British fashion photographer. He has worked for M.A.P. with Harper’s Bazaar and currently photographs for W magazine, The Face, Arena, i-D, L’Uomo Vogue, Arena Homme Plus, Vogue Homme International, British Vogue and Dazed & Confused. His advertising clients include Pepsi, Gap, Prada, Helmut Lang, Yohji Yamamoto, Levis, Louis Vuitton, Jil Sander, Hugo Boss, Rimmel, Givenchy, BCBG and Nike.

Art. Lebedev studio - Russian design giants

Art. Lebedev studio was founded a long time ago – in 1995 by Artemy Lebedev in Moscow. Art. Lebedev studio does industrial design, graphic design, web design, and interface engineering. It is hard to find people more creative than them. We would like to introduce an overview of their products.

Vilkus

The best of it all is their new Vilkus adaptor. It was developed for people who like touching the electrical circuit with their own fingers.

Many people find pleasure in this unusual entertainment - they normally use U-shaped fragments of bare wire, paper clips or even usual metal forks. All these objects are unreliable and easily broken.

All household sockets are designed so as to prevent any finger abuse, while this adaptor lets to stick fingers very easy. For Brittish and American sockets - also not a problem.

Dispensum

Dispensum was designed as tape made from one bent and burnished metal sheet. Dispensum can be mounted to the wall.

Verbarius

Verbarius is an electronic clock – which is the only clock in the world, which writes the time in a humane way. Five languages are available: English, German, Spanish, French and Russian. You can upload any other language - from Latin to Gaelic, from your PC. Cool.
