Chameleon lamp
Fantastic lamp that changes color to match any color you place near it. A traditional bulb provides regular white light, whereas a LED ring around it projects a selected color into the shade, at the same time preventing the white light of diffusion with the projected color.

Medusa lamp
Medusa means ‘jellyfish’ in Spanish. Made from laser-etched Corian, which catches the form of this acquatic creature. A flexible element of colored light can be added, facilitating lamp mood’s change.

Lego lamp
This concept lamp brings people together in their creativity. The connections are made from magnets, which allow electricity to pass by. Each cuve has one LED lamp inside. So just play around and connect your lamp however you want to.

Light lamp
Light lamp is lifted by helium inside the baloon lamp, which can float around for ten days. The lamp has a LED in it, which can be controlled in different modes - flashing or not. Many light lamps look like a cool party thing.

Solar lamp
This solar powered lamp absorbs sun light and then releases it in the evening. You come home from work, and the light is already there. Very useful for electricity circuit breaks.

Disposable chandelier
Stuart Haygart has designed this Dispisable Chandelier with 416 disposable plastic wine glasses, lit with a pink fluorescent light source. A smaller version of 280 glasses is also available.

Aton luminaires
This lamp is made of clay and has cool projection to the ceiling.

Lumen Tree
OK, the only lamp, whose price we know - it’s 59 bucks. Lumen Tree is an oil lamp, which projects tree shadows as it is lit. The farther Lumen is from the wall, the larger the shadow. As the flame flickers the shadow moves about organically.

“Seen from distance the wallpaper seems simply an antique baroque motive, but coming closer you will discover that thousands of ants are crawling on the walls creating this baroque wallpaper…”
This ANT’IQUE wallpaper is a winner project of “New Walls, Please!” 2007. ANT’IQUE wallpaper has been created by young and talented team GAMplusFRATESI.

GAMplusFRATESI is a designer union, including Stine Gam from Denmark and Enrico Fratesi from Italy. The artists claim that this union of two countries helps them find their project ideas. GAMplusFRATESI have a great success all over the world, they participate in numerous exhibitions all over the world: NewYork, Las Vegas, Berlin ,London, Milano, Copenhagen.

Another artist so famous with his ants motives is Peter Kogler. Ants seem to really fascinate him: ant walls, ant floors, ant pictures, ant wallpapers - ants all around you!

Peter Kogler is among the internationally most successful Austrian artists of his generation. Despite invitations to participate in numerous prestigious exhibitions of the last decade - the Venice Biennale (1995) or the documenta in Kassel (1992 and 1997), for example - there has been no comprehensive presentation of his work until now.

Crockery is not something we notice on the table, but wait till you see this great crockery!
Thelermont Hupton has found a new way for using crockery, when you are out of the table. You can use earthenware knee and lap mugs watching TV and party around with a thumb bowl.

It’s a rocket science
If you have kids, you must know, how hard it sometimes is to persuade them to finish their meals. Now it is much easier with this bowl: feel it with something liquid and your kid will save the sinking house.

Such plane will also help your kid stay full.

A whole designer competition took place recently. It was called “Ceramics for breakfast” and it is just fascinating, what brilliant ideas people had:

Strange mobile phone concepts - which one will you choose?
Paper phone
“Paper Says” is a cellphone whose electronic innards are recyclable and whose outside is made of paper. The idea is for travellers, who first rent and use it, and then return so that the phone is recycled with a brand-new paper exterior.

Designers: Chia-Liang Hsu, Yi-Ting Chen, Jun-Lin Fu, Chih-Chieh Lee, Chun Chia Hsu, Allen Huang
Wacky BenQ Siemens
Crazy concepts by BenQ-Siemens. First, there is a snake-like phone, probably for wrapping around the arm, you can see the media player controls on the pictures.

Second one - twist the display around, and eventually the keypad part will form a stand for your mini screen.

A concept model with touch screen and sliding control panel.

Design by Product Visionaires GmbH
Pantech
Pantech concepts look mind-blowing too, this handset boasts with Moto PEBL-esque keypad.

Other Pantech concepts from Korean designers:

NEC
This device will bend and twist at your command. Available in different colours (though not yet, keep in mind that these are concepts).

Nokia
Nokia’s Aeon has a touchscreen that stretches over the full surface area of the phone.

Motorola
Motorola’s PVOT concept is designed for developing nations.

Alloy
Alloy Total Product Design has two displays: standard for viewing data and a touchscreen for accessing menus. Just don’t get confused!

Modelabs phones
Yoyo phone is meant to be worn around the neck. It draws energy from the bounces and swings created by the user and can also draw additional power from the built-in solar cell.

U-Turn, a business phone that draws energy from the opening and closing of the keyboard.

Runaway, a sports phone that draws energy from movements during exercise
